Another interesting day. Friday we stayed in a hotel in St Gervais les Bains with some good food to refuel our low energy levels. In the morning we hiked to the takeoff in Passy - pleine des joux.
We knew it wouldn't be an easy day to fly. The air was pretty stable, meaning that thermals - the hot air bubbles giving us lift - were pretty weak. We tried our luck. Andy went down after 1.5h. Michi and Alex fought for over 3 hours showing a lot of patience. But the base was not high enough to continue our way to Switzerland. So we all met at the landig spot in Passy were we could surprise Alex with a small birthday present and some cake.
Sunday is the last day and the weather looks promising. Cross your fingers!
