Another awesome day. After yesterday's landing we hiked up to the tete de clappe. Close to Gap. Today we hiked the last 300m of altitude to be surprised by the weather. First the thermals looked very promising. Just before takeoff we realized that all thermals died off. So another hour of parawaiting. After a difficult start we all managed to climb over the mountains. What a view...
But after some thermals a very difficult valley crossing forced us to show a lot of patience. Andy managed to get over the valley and climbed some more thermals. After almost 60km of flying he was grounded. The others joined him at his landing spot to hike all the way to a camping next to a lake in Le Chenet. The swim in the lake after 12km of walking was more than deserved.
Tomorrow will be a no flying day.
