Did you know that there's still 11 countries where being gay is punished by death?
Even this year, two young men were executed for being in love in Iran.
How can this be? And all this in UN countries. Does the charter of the United Nations not say in Chapter 1 „Purposes and principles“: promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion.
How can something that two people do with consent be of any interest to you? Why do you care? Or maybe you should care... Because there is scientific evidence that there is a reason for LGBT people. We have always been there and we always will. This TED Talk gives you a very good idea why this is:
But of course, this is very scientific. Maybe you do not believe in science. Then look for the passage in your Bible that says: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself...
And I'm sure there are similar passages in any holy book.
If we all do show more respect to each other and if we all show more love and gratitude, maybe one day we will fulfill the UN charter, and maybe we will be able to live together on this planet because we do have other problems to solve right now.
